Sat Nam ya'll,

A while back I was bemoaning the physical limitations I face while doing KY

and one of you gave me perhaps the most compassionate answer; it was

something like, "It's not the practice, but the courage we bring to it." I

shared that with my HIV support group today and it made a huge impact.

Thank you so much. I'm sorry I don't remember who said it.

Sat Nam, Leo

Here is that post..... (The original quote is something like "It's not

the life you live, but the courage you bring to it.....").

Hi Leo

Anne Marie here,

I just read your post and I think you answered your own question.

Gurmukh

says in her Yoga video which I love, "Its not the Yoga that you do but the

courage you bring to your practice that counts". The things that you have

already overcome in your life shows that you have plenty of that!

I have a class on a Tuesday night that has quite a few older people in it

and when I first started teaching it one lady coughed all the way through my

class and could hardly move. I thought oh my God! what have I got myself

into! I decided to allow her to take responsibility for herself, which is

pretty nerve racking, I had to let go of my ego. Anyway she hasnt missed a

class and I havent heard her coughing much lately and Ive noticed that she

can move a bit more now. She is an inspiration to me. I always tell my

students young and old to go at there own pace and listen to their bodies.

We are about 70% water right? And doesnt water always find its own level?

Anyway do what you can and let that be enough. You are a human being not a

human doing.

Sat Nam Anne Marie.

That is the opening line of a book named Fortitude that influenced Harbajan

Singh Khalsa Yogi Ji in his youth.
