Guest guest
Sat Nam all, I was wondering if anyone would like to discuss Shakti pad with me? I have notes that I took a few years ago that say...the experience of shakti pad occurs somewhere usually after practicing Ky for 2 years or so...and goes on to say, it is when the negative ego confronts you....and at this point the kundalini energy can get involved with the ego. If that happens...it can produce power tripping, obnoxiousness, feeling like you know it all...lose of humility OR you might recoil and give up your practice because you feel like there is nothing left to learn. So for clarity...I am wondering... The experience of shakti pad isn't being confronted by the ego (because that begins from day one...at least in my experience! ha ha!).....but when the kundalini becomes entangled with the ego? I'm not clear about...by what process does the kundalini become entangled with the ego? Is this an outcome of, not having developed "heart", prior opening to the spiritual realm? Just a few month's ago my teacher mentioned in a class...that you can have an experience of infinity, without having developed heart first. This struck me as..."news to me"! I didn't realize this? Consciously. He then went on to describe how you need "heart" in order to bring the spiritual into every moment of your life...a living practice. MY thought is...it's the ability to "look at all" emotions one is experiencing and then to begin the experience of cleansing them. You can't have heart....if there are certain places (emotions) you're not able to go and be with or relate to....because I would imagine from my own experience, that these emotions encase the heart...and prevent the experience of "having heart". Upon further reflection I can see how this has played out in my life. I may not have wanted to see myself as having lacked heart, in my words or actions...so I never clicked with this idea before. Because, I have had experiences of the infinite...but "then" I have had to come back to earth and begin the job of discovering where in my life I am not able to live that Truth (so I have infact, been exposed to the experience of lacking the heart, to bring my spiritual experience, back into my everyday life)....I need to develope the chalice (heart) to contain that Truth...so it becomes my reality. But perhaps rather than viewing that as "lack" of heart, on my part....maybe I could change my perspective to... "I'm a heart in training!" ha ha! Anybody have any thoughts about Shakti pad/heart etc? I look forward to hearing from you, Sat Sangeet kaur P.S. I guess one of my questions is..."how" does one come to recognize they are lacking heart? When they are not aware, that they are in fact, having that experience? What happens in one's life that they begin to develope an awareness of the need to develope more heart...and I mean from the view of one who is experiencing Shakti pad....not just the average person who is lacking heart? Guest guest
Hello, Yes the heart chakra is primordial ! Unles you acte through love and compassion you are nothing, you have done nothing you are not moving anywhere ! How to develop it it's so simple ! JUst give a little of your time to people who have nobody to love them and which cannot pay you back anything : example visit mentally retarded hospitals or try to enter in an benevolent organization which helps the people who are waiting to die. Of course there is a preparation to deal with this kind of people. By being with them you will see many things in your life will change. You will understand what is to have an open heart. You will enter the multidementional perceptions they are being prepared to enter just by communicating with them. Being confronted to Action is the best way to be sure your heart is opened and stays that way. Love and Compassion to all Zizette The New Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo. Guest guest
"How to develop it it's so simple ! This reminded me of something my teacher told me awhile back....It was our last class of the season and he asked everyone, what was it, that they had come to this class in hopes of recieving? My reply was that I wanted todevelope a neutral heart/mind...and his reply was simple.... Seva...selfless service... Give freely without attachmentanything that you can....he went to give examples like...acknowledgepeople for what they do well...give silent blessings to all...tell people what you admire in them.. Or you could give money, if you hadit to give etc. It's funny, within about an hourof writing that post on SaturdayI had an e-mail on the topic ofservice come my way...imparticularhow does, how we serve, change as ourconsciousness grows? and it went onto speak about the different levelsof consciousness and what service ateach level looks like. Looking back over the last two weeks,I recall the word "service" or "to serve",coming up for me....obviously if itis coming up strongly now, there mustbe some other way that I should be servingthan how I presently am? I've been having the phrases "to serve one's identity and to serve the times" come up for me recently in meditation...to be honest...those words scare me...and bring up alot of emotion in me. I guessI'll keep on meditating, allowing and cleansing the emotions, until I can hearthose words and experience some clarityaround what they mean for me...besides a bad case of heartburn! Ha ha! Again...thank you for your response!Sat Sangeet Non-text portions of this message have been removed] "OUR DESTINY IS TO BE HAPPY" - Yogi Bhajan To UNSUBSCRIBE from this list, please send a blank email to Kundaliniyoga NO UNSUBSCRIBE REQUESTS TO THE LIST PLEASE!> WEB SITE: kundalini yoga KUNDALINI YOGA ON-LINE TRAINING.
