Guest guest Posted May 4, 2003 Report Share Posted May 4, 2003 Dear Lisa, I'll tell you what my husband would say, if I was to ask him, if him had any advise on how I might be more kind towards myself.....he'd look at me like I'm an alien and say, "by not being unkind towards yourself".... the subject would end there and I'd be left, startled by the simplicity and absolute truth of his comment! The process is one of recognizing the unpromoting actions....then noticing the emotions/thoughts that have been driving the actions....choosing not to feed them with any more wayward supporting thought...as you allow this process, your experience in that moment will transform....redirect your consciousness towards the truth/Light. Catch yourself in unkind behavior towards yourself...stop! begin feeling and allowing all sensation (physical andemotional)Be present and give this process a chance to happenuse a mantra or meditation to redirect your consciousness towards the light during this process. When all else fails...begin to breathe in the Light...into every cell....allow it to massage all areas where unkindness towards the self may be lurking....notice how the light knows no boundaries...it permeates all borders...leaving no part of your being untouched by the Light....allow it to lift you up....and to transform all unkindnesses within.
