Have you tried gazing in your own eyes?! Awesome. You steadily gaze into one eye, really close to the mirror; and you call on to a deep deep cosmos, on the Essence of Love to come and enter you through your crown. As She flies into the Sun and out to Earth, comes and enters you, your face is getting more and more beautiful. The aura of that side's of the body gets more and more puffed and shiny. Then the other eye. Radiant. > Sat Nam, Dharam (a friend to all lizards) Did you know Dharam, yes, lizards are dreamy, but their first emotional quality is being jealous. Guest guest
Sat Nam all, I just wanted to propose staring into a rose, its supposed to be very healing. The most awesome Trataka experience I've ever had was looking into a rose, I became the rose. I scared myself out of that experience, as I often do when things get too intense. I haven't been able to get that deep since because of fear. I still highly recommend it for anyone that can handle a very deep meditative experience. Guest guest
Sat Nam RaMa How long did you stare? I can stare no more than a few seconds, and my eyes begin watering. Should I just repeat it again, and slowly build up stamina? NamasteL Amanda Hamm <MandyPan97 wrote:Sat Nam all, I just wanted to propose staring into a rose, its supposed to be very healing. If the watering is too distracting or painful try to get comfortable with it by building up little by little. Lucky for me, I can get pretty deep in meditation pretty fast, but that's also the part that scares me, I feel like I loose my body. _______________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
Guest guest
The important thing to remember about this Trataka picture is that you are not communicating with or meditating on Yogi Bhajan. You are meditating on your own higher self, your higher consciousness, which is what the Teacher reflects. What you experience will be either from your own higher consciousness, or the nature of the conflict you have with that part of your being. If you have an experience of deep absorption you will lose your body; if you have an experience of even deeper absorption you will lose your mind - then there will be only consciousness. That is your true nature so one should not be afraid of that. In the meantime, watering is good for the eyes; just remember to treat the eye muscles like any other muscle - don't overstrain.
