Guest guest
Sat Nam, Ra Ma Kaur, Lyn, Souls, I have taught the Rose gazing meditation to my yoga students in the past life (not in this country); it was one of the first creative bursts of my soul teaching yoga. Lyn, you have to soften your focus; look at the rose not as if you want to penetrate it with your eyes, but as if you are caressing the aura of the rose. In the beginning you may look softly for a while and then close your eyes and translate the vision onto yourself, as if there is a thin mirror in between that makes you become what you see. You open your eyes and gaze and further soften soften your glance. You feel like your body is a stem drinking water (if the rose is in the vase), your feet feel fresh and cool, you feel like the freshness of the water is raising up your body as it is drenched with water, and the water is making love to all your tissues. Your hands are the leaves, nails are the thorns, your head is a bloom, and you see other buds opening into blossoms all along the chakras. Yes, Dharam, Thanks much for sharing the Trataka info; made me realize I was on the right track "inventinga rising Sun gazing" back in time once; never tried it since, but I will keep it in mind for the waking up in nature time. Thanks much for the reference of "To Wong Foo: Thanks for everything!"; rented it yesterday, and watched with much delight!
