Sat Nam Lisa,

Thank you for your thorough response and the clarity. Sorry, I couldn't

tell what was going on. Many people on this list do have 2 (or more)

names and only one personality....usually. You had me wondering and a

bit frustrated. Why? Because I want to feel like I make a difference.

(my own agenda)

Can Jodie get a separate email address? They are free.

I am a double Pisces, the exact polarity of Virgo....however I was born

the year of "The Cock", so I am a bit cocky, and more importantly, "The

Cock" or "Rooster" if you prefer, corresponds to the Virgo energy, so I

can be more than a little critical of others and myself. This

perfectionism does suck, unless I can channel it into music or art.

The tension you describe trying to bridge Wiccan and your Christian

background is all too familiar. I don't have that particular struggle

but I see it all around me in my Sikh community. So many American Sikhs

would benefit by going to India and seeing how un-selfconscious, whole

and organic this path can be. I don't know very well of Matriarchal

cultures but did I hear something on NPR that you and others might find

interesting click to listen. The word "father" does not exist. Marriage

is really non existent. They have a "walking" marriage. You gotta check

it out. Let me know if you can't hear it.

In the Country of Daughters, at the far western edge of China, music is

a part of everyday life... but traditional marriage isn't. Lynn talks to

Yang Erche Namu and Christine Mathieu, authors of the new memoir Leaving

Mother Lake: A Girlhood at the Edge of the World. (Little Brown &

Company; ISBN: 0316124710). The book follows Namu as she leaves her

family home to become a famous singer.

We cool now?

Hang in there, I(we) got your back,

Sat Nam,
