Seva Simran....your ability to share information in such a straight

forward, cut to the bones, no nonsense kind of way is much

appreciated, on my part.

I am often in awe of your knowledge/experience/wisdom base and your

ability to speak so intelligently, on pretty much any subject!

As a teacher I aspire to continually clear my personality/ego out of

the way in order to become a clearer channel for Divine wisdom to

come through me, in every moment....I read your e-mails.... and that

is what I "hear and feel" in the words you share with us....

May you be blessed in return,

Sat Sangeet

Our culture is very into turning everyone into sex addicts. It is

just one of the many examples of our culture's neurosis in that we

make an industry out of things that are self destructive. Popular

culture doesn't except the idea of ojas, or semen being a

nutritional

fluid that is recycled in the body. Western culture also has a

history of guilt around sexuality so to some extent the lack of any

chastity is a reaction to that. Chinese medicine says a man should

not lose his semen in winter. Other seasons no more often than this:

take your age, double it, move the decimal point back one number.

Less often if you are weak or tired; not at all if you have a health

problem. Intercourse is considered less weakening because there is

an

exchange of fluids so there is some gain, balancing out some of the

loss. In yogic medicine masturbation in men is considered unhealthy

because there is no exchange of energies, and because of heavy

subconscious exertion (an etheric partner is created in the

subconscious). It is considered okay if the alternative is to go

nuts. Sa Ta Na Ma meditation for 60 minutes is considered an

antidote

for the urge; so is racket sports. Intense, regular urge is

considered an addiction and requires investigation of the underlying

issues. If boys were taught that there is an energy point at the

base

of the penis, and by stimulating it in a non-sexual way the energy

that collects there can be released upwardly they would soon find

masturbation and other sexual compulsions disappear.
