When you notice the events in your life which "raise" the anger...the key is to begin work with the feeling...not the situation. The reflection is never as clear as...I stepped on your foot...now someone will have to step on my foot. The reflection is...that, that situation, brings to light within you, (raises to the surface)....what is really brewing within your mind. So using the ball game as an example...something that appears to be unjust occurs...and I notice I feel angry about it. The reflection is...."I feel angry"....not, I feel angry about this particular circumstance (the circumsatnce it self may or may not have anything to do with the underlying thoughts driving the anger...or rather it may not be obvious at all what the connection might be. It's just a reflection in that it shines a light on an area where you experience limitation....in order for you to bring it to light and work with it in the open (in the light)....not that that particualr action is one that you have been guilty of in the past...although that may or may not be the case.
