Guest guest
Sat Nam ya'll, When I get P.O.'d at people who break the rules, whether it's traffic or taxes, it's because I feel like they think they're "special' in some way and that the rules don't apply to them. For many years I felt that same way. Still do sometimes. That's the root of my offense, don't they see that I'M the special one? If anyone gets to break the rules it oughta be me! I choose to obey most rules for my own, spiritual reasons, why do I get pissed that others are on a different path? Vanity, arrogance and a frustrated "bad boy" complex. Kinda like that line from the movie "The Wild Bunch"" MAN: "What are you rebelling against?" BRANDO: "Whataya got?" A mentality I work on ALOT. Guest guest
Greetings Leo and everyone, I would like to share some of my experience with anger. Mostly what i would call irrational anger, the same sorts of things you guys have been talking about here in the last few days. I suffered from these anger outbursts for most of my adult life and when I decided to "take on" the anger shadow one of the things that crossed my path was a book by Don Miguel Ruiz called "The Four Agreements" One of them was, Take nothing personally. The lights not only came on, they were flashing neon lights. Of course once the realization comes the "work" of practicing this has to follow. I'm happy to report that MOST of the time, when the person driving their car and talking on their cell phone cuts me off in traffic instead of shouting you a#$%&@#* I shout "hands free baby, hands free" and laugh at myself for still "taking it personally" What a GLORIOUS process this is and thank you all for holding this space in which we may share our steps as we peel off the layers and reveal the truth, which is LOVE sat nam dawn
