Guest guest
Can members of this forum tell me their experiences with diet and tell me which diet they think is better. (I personally prefer to choose one of the following. soup/salad/boiled vegetables/vegetablejuice/pasta/rice/sprouted grains...but after being on this diet for a few weeks I get back to my old habits of eating all)
Guest guest
Sat Nam, I can only share my opinion with you...based on my personal observation. I've been eating a raw fruit/ vegetable diet for the last two weeks (I'm cleansing)...and a high alkaline diet for the past two months. Two days into eating ,only raw foods, I noticed my energy level sky rocket and my sleeping became deeper and I needed less? Normally my diet consists of raw foods and whole grains/tofu/beans....I can see that the use of less grains in my diet would be beneficial for me...and I have recently began juicing vegetables to increase my alkaline reserves (I can drink a lot more veggies than I can physically eat!) So I think depending on your body.....try out different diets and see how you feel on them? Going back to eating everything you used to has a lot to do with habit/convenience and our desires constantly being stimulated by our enviroments (advertising/what other people are eating around us). If we learn to redirect our mind towards the goal of eating for health everytime our senses get stimulated...then we slowly train the mind to filter out all that sensory stimulus naturally....so we are not constantly being caught up in the grip of desire stimulated through the senses. I find everytime I go on a cleanse...I come out of it having a better idea of what foods really serve the health of my body and mind.....because you get to notice how you feel eating a cleaner diet (if you can get past the cravings to eat the old way...it can be hard..I know)....and then when you begin to re-introduce the old foods back into your diet again...you can witness how those foods impact you positively or negatively.
