Sat Nam,

I would like to do this Kriya for 40 days as I am working on my lower

chakras but am finding exercise 6 in this Kriya quite a challenge.

Instructions:

With both legs extended, bend forwards to grab you toes. As you roll back

on your spine, hold on to your toes until you are in Plough Pose. Roll

backwards and forwars without letting go of your toes. Continue 2 minutes.

Beginner's variation: Put a belt around your feet to extend your arms.

The only way I can do this (ie. get myself from a forward bend into plough

pose without letting go of my toes) is to bend my legs, belt or no belt. :)

Coming back out of plough and going into a forward bend with legs straight

is manageable, but I don't half make a thud on the way down *grin*. My

partner is going to love 40 days of this at 5 am!!! :-D

I've tried to get back into plough without bending the legs, both with a

belt and without, but can't seem to do it... which muscles is it I need to

work on in order to be able to do this? I do have quite short arms... and am

also wondering if that might be a factor...but surely if it was just that,

then the belt would remedy that situation?

One in the spirit,

Bending the legs is fine. Just try to keep the knees together rather

than triangling them out as you move from one pose to the other. And

if you have to grip the calves rather than the feet that is fine too.

Forget about belts and stuff. Remember that "grace is how you win the

race."-
