Sat Nam Ya'll

Before I was a full time member of the Summer Solstice Soundbooth

crew, I would rove around the Solstice site carrying a tape recorder in

search of some of that ever illusive magic. Sometime I would just record

ambient sound, other times I might be present when a jam turns magical.

These moments are like clouds to me (never to be reproduced) and my hope

is I can preserve just a tad bit of that and that someone else can

relate, inspite of the technical imperfections. Actually, some of these

recording are special for precisely that reason. If the musicians had

gone into a studio it would have gotten polished and maybe over

produced. I've seen it happen before and never liked that finished

product as much as some of my own hissy recordings with people sounds

and kids crying in the background. Ah, just a reminder of real life and

imperfection of it all.
