This is the classical form of the Siri Gaitri meditation. It's my

personal favorite. A couple of different version have come through in

the last few years. Regardless of which form you choose, chant strongly!

The Pranic body (healing) is the Eighth Body which is an 8. The top

circle symbolizing the Spiritual (superconscious) and the bottom circle

symbolizing the Temporal (subconscious). They are both spinning and

where the two meet there is a spark or bolt of lightning. That's power!

On a level that spark is within your own consciousness and aurically

springs from the midsection near where the torso and legs meet. Making

the self Self whole and complete is what this is doing. Transforming

Vata into Prana. Fear into breath health. Restoring the energy reserve

that is so often tapped by stress, anger and fear. Opening the flow of

energy through the diaphragm and feeding/feeling the heart, the energy

will then spill over and replenish the reserve system, which in Eastern

systems is the kidney/adrenal meridian. At this point we are floating

and feel connected to every thing and there is no judgment and no anger

and no fear, just love.

Sat Nam,

Dharam Singh

RAA MAA DAA SAA MEDITATION TO HEAL SELF OR OTHERS

(11 minutes beginning; up to 31 minutes with practice)

Sit in easy pose, elbows in snug at your sides, forearms snug against

your upper arms, fingers together and pulled down and out so that the

palms are parallel with and facing the ceiling. Close your eyes

nine-tenths.

Inhale completely, then exhale completely as you chant the following mantra:

RAA MA-A DAAS SA SAA SE- EE SO HUNG

As you chant SA, the navel point is pulled in, so that this syllable is

abbreviated. The other syllables are drawn out in a strong, powerful

chant that uses all the breath with each repetition of the mantra.

Strive to maintain your chant at full volume (loud, but not raucous)

throughout the meditation.

Continue for 11 min. Very gradually, over a period of years, the time

may be increased to a maximum of 31 min.

Comments: This highly effective meditation deals with Vayu Siddhi, the

power of air. It brings health and many other desirable positive

changes. If you wish to heal yourself, imagine a glowing green light

around yourself as you meditate. If you wish to heal someone else,

imagine that same light around the other person as you meditate.
