Guest guest
Sat Nam T Lee, In Yoga and Meditation is where we can "practice" letting go, of anger, of ego, of anything that doesn't serve us and our spiritual growth. In the witnessing state of consciousness, with practice you will be able to step back (away from ego) and "witness" where is the anger coming from? where is it being directed and then WHY? It most certainly is coming from us because there is no other! This is not easy to "do" that is why as yogis we call what we do practice, our practice takes us into beingness instead of doingness. Awakening is about letting go, not about changing. As we learn to let go (of anger for example) we find a whole new way of being! Assertiveness is honoring yourself which really has nothing to do with anger, but if you are unable to honor yourself without feeling like you have to "come up" with a reason; anger is an easy way to do it. With your practice you begin to naturally honor yourself, drawing those people to yourself that will also honor you; and there won't be a problem with having to "demand" honor. Don't get discouraged just keep practicing! Another consideration is your Dosha type. Do you know yours? Pitta constitution exhibits a lot of anger when out of balance...and this IS the Pitta time of the year. It might be worth checking out?
