Guest guest
Sat Nam Preeti and Akkama, I would agree that one shouldn't disregard the power of prayer...because it's humungous...when you master the art. Yes there is a whole art or science or process (whatever you want to call it)...to praying effectively...with everyone's best interests at heart. At times like these I wish I could just "bottle my Teacher" and sell him over the internet!! ha ha! Something that has been coming to me strongly in meditation lately is that...we all need to learn how to pray....effectively. Our old way of praying brings no results....and for the most part we are at a lose to know what to do about that. My teacher covers this topic and I will be taking a full workshop at the end of August on this very topic from him. I can post more on prayer and the arcline when I return form Japji/Solstice if you are still interested. Guest guest
Dear Sat Sangeet & Akkama, I am sory if i have offended you by disregarding the power of prayer, it was not my intention. Its just that for me prayer has never worked to gain results. but I was never against the idea of praying. I realize that when you ask for the wellbeing of your family members it is a very noble wish and certainly brings peace and emotional releif to the one praying. I certainly am a zero at praying effectively. So id definitely, eagerly want to hear from you Sat Sangeet when you return from your workshop. I would certainly like to move the mountains in my life!!!! May God grant all your prayers and bring well being to you and your fanily! (HOpe that works!! Sat Nam! Guest guest
Thank you for the blessing Preeti! Not to worry....I am in no way offended by your experience with prayer! ha ha! Your experience is valid and true for you until you have another experience...that tells you otherwise! I understand, until you experience something for yourself...it doesn't become a truth for you. Guest guest
Thank you Sat Sangeet and Avtar for great inputs, When I read AVtar's message my internal conscience nodded to his message and I felt more relieved. Rather I feel it probably takes us more closer to divine towards total surrender if we dont ask at all but just pray. I have come across Yogiji's messages also where he mentions not to interfere in any way to divine play but just to accept whatever comes to us with gratitude. Sat Sangeet, If you could further clarify more on this after your workshop it would be very kind of you. Thank you all, AKkama --- Sat Sangeet <satsangeetkaur wrote: > Sat Nam Preeti and Akkama, > > I would agree that one shouldn't disregard the power > of prayer...because it's humungous...when you master > the art. > > Yes there is a whole art or science or process > (whatever you want to call it)...to praying > effectively...with everyone's best interests at > heart. > > At times like these I wish I could just "bottle my > Teacher" and sell him over the internet!! ha ha! > > Something that has been coming to me strongly in > meditation lately is that...we all need to learn how > to pray....effectively. > > Our old way of praying brings no results....and for > the most part we are at a lose to know what to do > about that. > > My teacher covers this topic and I will be taking a > full workshop at the end of August on this very > topic from him. > > I can post more on prayer and the arcline when I > return form Japji/Solstice if you are still > interested. > > All Light and blessings, > Sat Sangeet > > > Sponsor > > "OUR DESTINY IS TO BE HAPPY" - Yogi Bhajan > > To UNSUBSCRIBE from this list, please send a blank > email to > Kundaliniyoga > NO UNSUBSCRIBE REQUESTS TO THE LIST PLEASE!> > > WEB SITE: kundalini yoga > > KUNDALINI YOGA ON-LINE TRAINING. Guest guest
Dear Akkama, Sat Sangeet and Avatar, Thanks for understanding my point of view. I loved this sharing of opinions...I must mention that when i read Avatar's view on this, i was emotionally releived and instantly thought that "this is the right attitude to pray" - "God thy will be done"....it's excellent..Thanks Avatar. It works. Sat Nam Preeti Calendar - Free online calendar with sync to Outlook. http://calendar.
Guest guest
Sat Nam Preeti, ' was emotionally releived and instantly thought that "this is the right attitude to pray" - "God thy will be done"....it's excellent' Glad it works for you too. It's just a question of framing the prayer in a way that one feels comfortable with. Another way would be to pray for the highest good of all involved. Same thing.
