Dear Empath,

Many of the Buddhist meditation processes involve releasing from the solar

plexus, which eventually brings about the opening of the crown chakra and entire

balancing and piercing of the several sheaths. This is shown in one of the

typical mudra positions of the Lord Buddha, with hand gesture just above and

below the solar plexus.

The effect you are having may be due to past lives of such practice, the result

of which includes an empathy due to the constant releasing of the opposites

(yin/yang) as one or the other or both emerge in the consciousness.

Weightlessness is an aspect of the satvic mind prevailing throughout the body.

The electrical experiences you describe become balanced and much more expansive

when you practice Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, as the channels are

charged and strengthened, allowing the flows of energy you describe to move

easily.

We find this often here in Thailand, where the people are predominantly

Buddhist. We also have a number of students coming, who practice martial arts

of one form or another, where they lack in the ability to experience the flow of

chi. after a few weeks of practice of Kundalini yoga, they begin to feel the

flow, which then allows them to progress with their martial arts practice.

Hope this news will help.

Pieter

Question from a newbie

--\

----------------------------

I was told to look at Kundalini when I posted this question on the Empaths

group.

I bit about myself...I am an empath, I have felt others emotions since the day I

was born. I can remember as far back as 3 months old and damn near my entire

life since I was about 2. I am not mystical or spiritual at all. I am a

non-practicing Catholic, went to Catholic school for 12 years, I have a degree

in engineering and business....I am pretty much an average 27 year old guy. One

thing though, over the past 2 years my mind as become increasingly powerfully.

Now not only can I feel what others are feeling, I can see their though

processes, logical, and emotional impulses in my head. A know how they will

react to a situation before they are even in it. So, now on to my

question........

If I concentrate a bit when I relax my muscles I get this almost weightless

sensation that starts from the center of my body and moves out to my figures and

toes in waves. It's a lot like having a very small electric charge run through

my entire body.

I can only put myself in this state for a few seconds because it begins to

almost hurt and my muscles flex/twitch automatically...like they were hit with

an electrical charge. The longer I do it, the more muscles that twitch and then

my insides begins to feel strange...I get a sort of stomach ache.

If I do it...stop, do it again...stop, etc my muscles tingle for a while, and

almost feel like they are charged with energy. Like just now, my legs feel very

strong, but at the same time it feels like I just got done running a couple of

miles. They will stay like this until I move around for a bit.

Anyone hear have any idea what I am talking about???
