Guest guest
Hello, My name is Sija, I live in Istanbul. Looking for ways to find more peace, I stumbled on the kundaliniyoga. org site. I started just a while ago with the first online lessons. Also started with the exercise set for the spine. I have to be very creative with my time as I have two boys of 2 and 4 years old. Many times I fall asleep while putting them to sleep and during daytime it is impossible to meditate for as much as one minute Anyway, I try to work on the exercises during daytime whenever I can, sometimes alone, sometimes with the kids (especially the young one loves it). There is no beginning or tuning in with the exercises, I just do them in between, whenever i can find a free moment. In the evenings before I go to bed i try to meditate (as written in the first lessons) for at least five minutes though even with that I sometimes cannot succeed for I am simply too tired to even think of moving. I know this shall pass, it is also not a complain but just desribing the situation I am in. I wonder if there are any other people (mothers?) in the same situation and how they solve it. In the morning we all start fresh and happy but in the evening we all get tired and cranky and much against my will, I do lose my temper and get angry sometimes. I want to change this so much but it is so hard as my 4 year old is high spirited and experiences everything through talking and around 4pm or so my head simply gets overloaded. Any tips on this i.e. how to get my head empty again so I can make it through the evening without troubles? Looking forward to your responses, Sija
Guest guest
hello Sija, It's good that you are practicing KY as and when you can becasue i read somewhere "chaotic action is much better than orderly inaction". So way to go. I too started like this. regularity has always been an issue with me. But trust me, your practice, regu;lar or irregular, will never go waste. You will be able to experience changes in yourself soon after you have started. Sometimes unbeleivable. So just keep going. Nice to know that your son also enjoys doing this. To calm yourself down in the evenings, i suggest you try the silent meditation given in the first few lessons(dont remebr which one), as it can be done anywhere in any pose. Goodluck.
