Guest guest Posted June 13, 2003 Report Share Posted June 13, 2003 Sat Nam Preeti, You seem to be a loving soul who seems to have been dissapointed by the 'wanting all child syndrome' not been entertained by the Higher Being/God/Divine. Please allow me to explain. When we are young we are easily fascinated by each and every thing,each and every new thing that we come across, see in/with others and the desire to possess it experience it belong to it inevitably and unconsciously creeps in. Some of us ask their respective parents some ask Father/Mother of universe (GOD) some take it on themselves (ego) to have it and some not considering themselves worthy (ego) sigh and long. At this time our awareness and conscious level is usually at the physical and emotional (lower three chakras) level and not fully awakened to see beyond the object/situation of our desire. But HE/SHE who created all and whose light is present in all KNOWS the whole truth, is the TRUTH. He/SHE knows what the best is for us and what our true needs are. To all of us who are on the Path Of Evolution /Purpose/Awareness, He makes sure that ONLY what Helps us in our Path is provided and everything else that we shall need as we progress and are ready for it, is provided to us in abundance. He loves us so much and so unconditionally that even what might hurt us when we pray (unknowingly for it) is granted. And then He too suffers in our pains. and after many repetitions of this We start to blame HIM/HER for our miseries and pains and might get hindered in our path This is true even in the situation when we stop receiving wishes that are obstructive/destructive to our Progress due to our asking HIM\HER to do so with beliefs like You know what is best for me (from intellectual level) And when that happens, as we deep down still crave to get all Start to Get Disappointed in HIM/HER the GRACE "Oh! It doesn't work. I have been doing ____ or ____ for X amount of years or period what's the use. And then we think and say and feel helpless BUT Do you see how helpless HE/SHE is....... Helplessly in love with us. If we get what we want we are unhappy (it's not what we wanted we discover or it wasn't right for us brought us hardships and pain) And If we don't get what we want we are unhappy (disappointed disillusioned losing/diminishing faith)... Surprising it may sound to you but He/She nurses the world as HIS family, which includes virtuous and evil people and sprites. He has their good too in HIS GRACE. Now imagine they all getting what they want and not still being happy. But Does this all mean that We need not pray .DEFINATELY NOT. Only our perspective of PRAYER has to be understood .Prayer is not about Asking Or Not Asking. To Pray is to First and Foremost Believe beyond Doubt That HE/SHE is omnipresent and loves me unconditionally. So IS always with me. And coz HE/SHE who IS the most Powerful yet most Merciful and Beautiful who is beyond any descriptions LOVE me unconditionally "I have nothing to worry/fear". And coz He knows your needs better than even you, where does asking/not asking come from "I already have everything"(if you feel empty while saying this Please understand that you are still vibrating at lower level of consciousness. This awareness alone will liberate you and place you on the path of higher consciousness. The Key word is AWARE to be aware at all times. To Pray From this Awareness of HIS/HER presence in all at all times will take you to the Second Stage of Interacting with HIM/HER naturally innocently at all times under all circumstances. Have you seen a young girl kid interacting with her doll like the best friend /companion she has, Talking to it laughing with it carrying it around all times wherever she goes doll goes Not parting with it even in sleep. Sometimes makes you wonder is the doll alive. That My Friend Is What To Pray Is. That doll my friend is the light/Jyot we carry within us all the time. To Pray is to Connect to That Light/Source/Love at all times. To Pray is not to ask/not ask but to SPEAK to HIM/HER naturally in pure love and innocence without doubt that HE/SHE LISTENS .This not only releases you of all your thoughts and feelings and obstructive patterns but also brings you closer to the awareness of HIS/HER presence in and around you and in all at all times. What a broadened perspetive this is of praying, I had never thought of it. Your description of the 'wanting all child syndrome' fits my behaviour perfectly. You have hit the nail on the head!
