Guest guest
Hello out there, As a dancer, I've had a lot of piecemeal contact with yoga over the years. Recently, I decided that deepening that contact might be a valuable way to stay connected with my body and to create a practice I can easily fit into my life. With that in mind, I began getting yoga DVDs through Netflix in search of some simple ritual/routines to at home when I've got time. I've enjoyed much of what I've tried (although I did encounter a few duds) but last week my world shifted in an unexpected way. I got Carol Carlson's DVD (Kundalini Yoga with Grace and Strength, I think it's called) and tried it out, and I was just blown away. I had no idea what I was looking for until I found it. It's hard to explain how perfectly I clicked with Kundalini yoga. The breath of fire, the higher activity level, the longer format -- I'm not sure what it is exactly, but I'm wanting to do yoga everyday now instead of a couple of times a week, and each time I feel so warm through out my entire body (especially my core), and so mellow and energized at the same time. It's just absolutely lovely. So, with a big energy burst fueled by newbie enthusiasm, I've done a bit of online snooping, and I found this group. I'm here just to find out more about Kundalini yoga -- is the Carol Carlson DVD representative of all Kundalini yoga? How does it compare to the other DVDs that are available at YogaTech? What would you recommend I look into? Tell me what you love, what you recommend, what you think it might be useful for me to know! Thanks in advance, and I'm happy to have found you all.
