Guest guest
Can someone tell me the right way to do the divine mother principle meditation.Deva has already posted instructions for the meditation. I'm not sure is Deva's way the right way to do it, because some others say that there's 4 phases and Deva says that there's 3 phases, but in his post there's a two meditations and the second is supposed to be done right after the first one. Guest guest
Sat Nam Charles, I'm not sure which post of mine you read or which instructions you were looking at. We had many posts on DM 2-3 different times. Here's the instructions I give out, taken from "Transistions..." pg 141, if you count you'll see-as described in my instructions--that there are TWO meditations (the first with 3 parts) and the second just 1 'part', or 4 parts if you break them down. At this point - 11 months later - I look at it as one meditation. The only other info I can add is on the times. We had some clarification some time ago from 3HO on the times. The first is 31 minutes, I split it 9-11-11. The confusion was on the second of the meditations which GRK had originally advised to work up to 62 mins. Yogi Bhajan advised through 3HO that the second should be only 31 mins also. I chose to keep doing it for 62 mins, feeling that I needed the extended time and it was and is having an effect. "I'm not sure is Deva's way the right way to do it, > because some others say that there's 4 phases and Deva says that > there's 3 phases," --look at pg 141 "but in his post there's a two meditations and the second is supposed to be done right after the first one." Instructions below: Divine Mother is on pg 141 of Transitions to a Heart Centered World. There are 2 meditations. The first is 31 minutes, and 3 parts to it. In part 1 meditate in easy pose on the 'infinite energy' swirling out of the Divine Mother, coming from infinity going to infinity, I usually meditate on something from GRK's book 'The Destiny of Women', this lasts 9 minutes. The 2nd part of the first meditation, sit in easy pose or a chair (feet flat on the floor), raise your arms and cup your hands as though you are looking through a pair of binoculars (they should be seperated 4-6 inches) hands and arms forming an 'L', upper arms paralell to the floor and forearms and cupped hands perpendicular. This is the pose you will hold for the rest of the meditation, I only move to press buttons on my timer. On the 2nd part you are simply beaming 'watching with mental eyes', 'seeing a beam of light going to infinity', this part is 11 minutes. The 3rd part of the first meditation, you chant outloud, SaaTaaNaaMaa, and go deeper; I usually visualize the mantra going through my hands to infinity, and Shakti bathing me with her swirling energy, this part is also 11 minutes. End of first meditation. On the second meditation, I simply press a button on my timer, you really don't have to change anything from the third part of the first meditation (same arm position). The chant changes to the Adi Shakti mantra, I usually visualize Shakti and the energy, and focus on my heart center, accepting the energy. Focusing on the heart center is key, it helps with pratyahar, you'll probably need it for this meditation. Here's the mantra: Adi Shakti Adi Shakti Adi Shakti Namo, Namo Sarab Shakti Sarab Shakti Sarab Shakti Namo, Namo Prithum Bhagawati (pronounced pritem bogvati) Prithum Bhagawati Prithum Bhagawati Namo, Namo Kunkalini Mata Shakti Mata Shakti Namo, Namo repeat... Blessings... Deva
Guest guest
hello Charles, I've been doing the Divine Mother Mediation for quite a while now, and as the instructions were not very clear I asked 3ho about it. The instructions that came back from Yogi Bhajan were that the medtation is divided into four parts, and each part is to be of equal length. making at tops 62 mins. So it could be done for 11mins, divided into four, or 31 mins divided into four or 62 mins divided into four. Hope this helps the confusion !
