Guest guest
Sat Nam E, I know the snoring husband situation all to well. I asked this question everywhere including this group. It seems to be a wide spread problem with few solutions for the snorer. My husband tried the nose strips, sprays, pillows, pills, weight loss, diet. One of his friends went through a painful surgical procedure to no avail. I saw a news story a few months back about an inexpensive, painless shot but it is temporary. My husband fell asleep on an airplane and woke up with a blanket over his head. We got past the pain and aggravation of the snoring situation through acceptance, humor, and ear plugs. I made a commitment to sleep in our bed together and endured the discomfort of the ear plugs, which have become a wonderful blessing in my life. My husband doesn't snore anymore. One day he just stopped but I still wear my ear plugs and don't like sleeping without them. I sleep through the gardeners in the morning, on airplanes, in the car, camping at solstice, I can go deep in an instant. The quality of the plug is very important and so far this is the best I've found http://www.earplugsonline.com/index.html I hope this helps. Guest guest
If your ear plugs blotted out Guru Singh at Solstice Camp, then maybe I'll be getting some for next year. He started his wakeup routine most mornings this year at around 2.30am - his tent was at the top of the hill above where I was camping. :-) One small question - how do you wake up at the right time if you can't hear an alarm clock? Guest guest
Sat Nam Gordon, The earplugs don't eliminate the sounds of the outside world they just muffle them so that they seem more monotone. I'm a light sleeper by nature and always hear my alarm. I don't always choose to get up even when serenaded at solstice by my favorite rise-up man.
