Guest guest
Dear Sat Sangeet, I think that many people have had similar experiences as you recounted in relation to Yogi Bhajan. His talking about the Jaap Ji would surely have brought about a tremendous change in the electromagnetic atmosphere of the room. Abiding as the Totality of Being, any contact with him would shift your consciousness into that True State. I had a similar experience in 1996, when there was a tantric course offered, also with on of the facilitators, as Solstice has had for the past 2 Solstices. A video of Yogi Bhajan presenting the specific format and Tantric practice was shown from several TV sets mounted around the room of a large DoubleTree GuestSuite function room on 47th and 7th Avenue, NYC, where I had been staying for the year, and noticed the course being offered that weekend. There were around 200 people signed up, and a number of Kundalini Yoga teachers from the area, as well as Gurucharan Singh from Boston. As soon as Yogi Bhajan had completed his presentation through the video tape, the tape was put on hold and the Tantric kriya started, with only his still image presiding, and the assistance of the facilitator watching over the auric color changes throughout the room. What I began to notice was that every time I would shift my view from my partner to the still image of Yogi Bhajan, which was slightly above and to her left behind her, I would experience an upward streaming flow of the atoms through and around my body, as though there was a pillar of light streaming upwards and the body had been caught in the stream having no upward limit. Then I would reconnect with my partner. This happened a number of times, like double checking the experience, then triple checking and so on. >From this point on, my daily sadhana seemed to take on a more etheric dimension, where I began to experience periodic jumps in the overall atmospheric pressure of the energy consciouse in and through the physical body, neutral body, pranic body, auric body, radiant body. The idea of raising Kundalini from the base of the spine to the crown, began to become an afterthought, as the overall pressure seemed to open every system, from the Kandal to the ida and pingala and sushumna, to the gold cord and centers in the brain, to the One Star and right major vagus nerve - as through there was a continuing influx or infilling of what one might call a feeling of heavy (like gravity) expansive/pervasive light from inside and outside, even dissolving the notion of inside/outside. Subject without a seer. Action without a doer. All this to say that you shouldn't feel surprised to begin to notice similarly a sense of the pure indwelling light of your own infinite being, quietly shining through the thoughts and images in your mind, as the sense of "I" disengages from attention. These words will become meaningful, as you find yourself abiding as the "screen of single unconditioned pure living light upon which moves the kaleidoscopic picture composed of mobile and immobile objects of the Universe" (from The Cream of Emancipation verse 144) - also the experience of pradhupati or crystallization that Yogi Bhajan talks about. Sadhana and daily practice (i.e., KY exercises [tappa - to generate heat and electricity on the body field], chanting mantra [jappa - to generate radiant/resonance that links the conscious mind to the pervasive naad vibration of the universe] {together producing laya, i.e, expansive radiance that absorbs identity to thought and impressions} and slow controlled repetitive breath [simran] {producing pratyahar - a singular stillness from which thoughts and impressions are seen to rise and fall without the least trace or effort to grasp them or hold with within the mind's power of attention}), and read non-dual scripture and the words of Yogi Bhajan about all this in your TT Manual. As your sensorial experience expands, these words read over from time to time will fill in with a new meaning and depth.
