Guest guest
In Ravi Shingh's video 'Fat Free Yoga' (my favorite yoga video) he says bow pose with breath of fire "is said to melt fat right off the body" also that BOF will turn any excercise into an arobic excercise. Guest guest
Hello, I am a KY and Hatha Yoga teacher(46 years old), who has had some hip /groin discomfort for about a year and tenderness in the knee for a few months. I recently have gotten a dx of mild to moderate degenerative arthritic changes to the R hip and L knee joint. I am concerned about what course to take in my teaching. I fear I may need to discontinue full-time teaching and that is very upsetting to me. My questions are: I wonder if the ballistic movements or other aspects of KY are contributing to this(done perhaps improperly or too much). I have a couple of hip bone spurs that seem to exacerbate the problem of the tenderness there. How have other teachers begun to manage the issues of aging bodies in their practice and teaching? Also, Aside from glucosamine/chondroitin, silica and "bone on" calcium supplements are there any supplements/ diet change that I may make to support continuing being active. I'm especially hope there will be some way to deal with the bone spurs. (Diet is probably the weakest part of my yogic practice and it may have caught up with me.) Thank you for any help/hope you can offer. AJF
Guest guest
Dear, Pain in the groin and knee may refer to the liver meridian, try a liver cleansing, drink a lot of yogi tea, make a set for the liver and see whether there is any change.
