Guest guest
Hi everyone, I wanted to introduce myself and ask a question. I've been reading the digest for a while now, and it's been very helpful. I practice the Kundalini yoga now for over a year. I do different exercise sets for ½ hr and meditation for 31 min almost everyday. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure about a year ago and started yoga hoping it would help. I don't believe in taking drugs. I changed my diet, it's low carb, no sugar, very little salt, no wheat or gluten, mostly fish and vegetables with occasional chicken breast plus I only use olive oil. I also exercise 45 min on a treadmill 5 days a week. Unfortunately, nothing seems to help. I went to see a nurse yesterday and my blood pressure was worse then usual. I am getting quite discouraged and depressed about the whole thing. I though hard work and dedication should pay-off. I was wondering if anyone could recommend some specific exercise to reduce blood pressure. Thanks, Inna
Guest guest
Sat Nam If you have high blood pressure you have to be really careful how you do kundalini yoga. Long Deep Breathing through the left nostril for 60 minutes a day is the traditional recipe to help with high blood pressure. You will have a lot of internal resistance, however, because it changes you quite deeply. But if you keep up over quite a few months it is said to be effective and if it works it would be worth the effort in the end. There are also a lot of herbs that help (reishi, cayenne, garlic) and homeopathic remedies. All of these things together with what you are already doing can do only good. -- In Kundaliniyoga, "Inna" <innaz> wrote: > Hi everyone, > I wanted to introduce myself and ask a question.
