Guest guest
Sat Nam Everyone... Yogi Bhajan wrote a book of peotry titled "Furmaan Khalsa" and Mata Mandir Singh has taken Guruka Singh's english translations of these poems and applied music and voice to them. The result, is a beautiful CD. The reason I am telling you this, is because I want to share with you, one of the ways inwhich I "remember love". I was speaking last week about the heart healing SNR course I had taken and how there is a strong need to be able to "remember love, light, Truth etc"...in moments of adversity and also within the realm of practicing heart healing. The first time I ever heard this Cd, I was in Vancouver, in a beautiful Kundalini Yoga Studio, participating in morning Sadhana. We had just tuned in and then this music began to play, as we practiced the "Kriya in Preparation for Morning Sadhana". My friend Ananda and I were instantly transported into a blissful state as the beauty of this music and the lyrics flowed through us and around us....I admit, it doesn't take much for either of us to "get blissed"...but I believe the combination of the words being sung and the musical accompianment had a lot to do with it. Since returning and going about my life, I have continued to listen to this Cd and have made the observation, that if I fall into a moment of unconsciousness, where I go into a state of fear or confusion etc...if I listen to this Cd...I come back to the balance point. The words on the the Cd are simple...but powerful...and they speak of Truth. I also have the book of poems, but find the Cd more powerful. I would imagine this is because I have attached a "loving feeling" to the hearing of this CD. Because, the first time I listened to it I was deeply immersed in that which I love experiencing (Sadhana)...so now when I hear the Cd...I remember love, as a reflex. It's important to note that, what I remember is the "feeling" of love, rather than attaching that feeling onto the experience I was having at that particular studio and with the specific people who were present etc. and thinking that, that experience, was "giving" me the love...it simple helped to increase my awareness of the energy of love that is always present in every moment. Some of my favorite words on the Cd... ....fixing his mind in the breath, at the navel point...the energy twists round and round up the shushmana...as it opens...vibrating...consciouness rises! ....True friends speak of Truth..overflowing with love...their kundalini rises! ....Holding still...become filled...with the power of God....keeping the seed lock go within...merge with the shabd..in perfect balance...chant Har Har Har Har.... ....In Sadhana the sadhu lives....in sadhana the nectar of God;s love rains down...in Sahana come the blessings of simran...awareness and Divine understanding...Oh Yogi...become one with God! ....The Yogi focuses his attention in the Light...and tells the deepest secrets....the words flow through him naturally...and bowing to Guru Ram Das...the mender of broken destinies...centered deeply in prayer he speaks...so that by Guru's grace...everyone may hear...Guru Guru Wahe Guru Guru Ram Das Guru...... So...I don't know, how anybody could listen to these words and "not" get into it!! ha ha ha ha! In remembrance of the Light....Shine On!!
