Sat Nam dear friends and yogis,

I've just started a 40 day diet of mung beans & rice as a part of my

teacher's training course.

I'd like to know if anyone else on the list has done this diet and

if you have any advice, or can share any of your experiences?

A few specific questions I have are as follows:

1) The recipe in my book says you can serve mung-beans & rice with

yoghurt... is it ok to do that if you're doing the 40 day cleansing

diet..my intuition says no.. but I'd just like to check.

2) Does it matter what vegetables you add to it? Are there any

veggies that should be avoided e.g. peppers? Can I cook extra

vegetables or have a salad alongside it... I'm wanting something

crunchy!

3) The diet says that you can take fruit, in between meals, as a

snack. Is that any fruit? Are there any fruits that are more

helpful or should be avoided? Should I try not to eat fruit unless I

really feel I need something, so as to keep the diet more 'pure'?

4) The diet says you can that Yogi tea may be taken alongside the

diet. Is that the traditional yogi tea, or any of the range? Can I

add soy milk? Can I have other herbal teas... such as peppermint, or

chamomile? How about lemon in warm water in the morning. Would

that upset the diet.. or is it best to be focussed and have only the

basic mung-bean and rice?

Many thanks....
