Laya Yoga Question

Hi all,

Just need to come out of lurk mode for a moment to ask for

clarification on a detail.

It was after one of Pieter's messages about releasing energy

pressure in the head(which really flicked on a switch in me about

some challenges I was having), that I started looking into

meditation and chanting and since i was practising the 10 bodies set

I continued on into the Laya Yoga meditation that goes with it(in

Kundalini Yoga by Shakta Kaur Khasala Page 129.)

In the instruction it advises "For each underlined a you pull

the root lock"

The mantra is written "Ek Ong Kar-a, Sat(a) Nam-a, Siri Wha-a Hay

Guru" .

I've heard on one of the websites the mantra being chanted so that

only the a after Kar, Nam and Wha you pull the root lock. So my

question is do you also pull the root lock after Sat (a) or does it

indicate another instruction?

I,ve now been practicing this in the morning for the past 15 days

and over the past few days stepped it up to 33 mins. This has made a

tangible difference to the way I feel, its almost like a power

source that I never was aware of before has been switched on inside

my brain, I can feel a significant difference day to day. Its like

sailing in a boat in the fog and now knowing that your compass is

set to get out of the fog instead of wandering around lost. I'm

aware of compassion, calmness and mental clarity that I don't think

I've ever had before. Onwards to 40 days!

Can't wait for tomorrow morning!

Good to see someone jumping into this one with both feet.

This is correct.

EK ONG KAR-A SA TA NA M-A SIRI WHA-A HAY GURU

Not correct. No extra pull

At the end inhale deeply and hold the breath as long as you gracefully

can. Then completely relax.

From the KRI Teachers Training Manual

""This mantra was guarded like a secret gem. It is the key to the inner

doors of Naad, the realm of creative sound. If you listen to the sound

of the mantra and then concentrate into the subtle sounds of the mantra,

you will become absorbed into the unlimited domain of your higher Self.

The mantra has a structure of 3 and 1/2 cycles in its spin. Each A lifts

the diaphragm which commutes the energy of prana and apana across the

heart area. That transformation is one cycle. The 3 1/2 cycles is the

pulse rhythm of the Kundalini itself. This is why the Kundalini is often

represented as coiled 3 1/2 times.

As with all other real mantras, this one is not made up. It is

discovered by the seer who travels in the subtle realms of

consciousness. It has been confirmed by countless practitioners who

adapted the discipline of the meditation. The inner sounds can be heard

at different levels of subtlety. The vibrations of Naad have different

octaves of creative impact.

This mantra takes you to the subtlest realm of creativity. It awakens

the Kundalini force that energizes the whole Creation. It awakens your

awareness and empowers you to sense your subtle body of the aura. The

practice of the meditation gives you intuition and the ability to heal.

The word Laya refers to suspension from the ordinary world. Laya Yoga

fixes you attention and energy on your essence and your higher

consciousness It lets you absorb into the bliss and creativity of

consciousness without the normal distractions and attachments having

power over your reactive awareness. This mantra opens the secret book of

Laya yoga. It enables you to consciously remember and experience the

link between you and the Creator. You will know the constant flow within

you. Practice it for 40 to 120 days. It will etch into the subconscious

the memory and experience of your true identity. This will gain you

liberation.

When you practice this kriya earnestly, be conscious and graceful with

each word you speak. Do not listen to negative or coarse speech from

others. Remember that the sins of the past are of the past and that some

of the greatest saints were sinners first. If you have the opportunity

to learn and to practice this technology of elevation, you have earned

it and you deserve it. So do not hesitate to use it and to strive for

progress and expansion.""
