Sat Nam ya'll,

I've been offline for a little while getting my laptop de-wormed. I see

there's been some chatter about Spiritual Names. Here's my experience for

what it's worth.

I decided at the first of the year that I wanted to apply for a Naming. It

was in fact, the first piece of business I took care of in the new year.

Sent off all the paperwork - nada. Then I decided that it all got lost in

the mail or some such, so I did it again - mas nada.

For some reason, after I came out of the hospital this last time, it didn't

seem to matter much anymore. I feel like I came out of this latest

experience with such a clear sense of myself that a Naming would almost be

redundant.

Does this make any sense to anyone, or am I just a heretic?(I've got Angry

Villagers on speed dial!)

Maybe it's just not a part of my path.

Sat Nam, Leo

Hello Leo,

A friend of mine wrote to YB with some questions , including a request

for a spiritual name. I had also requested one for her last year when

I was at the Master's Touch.. She got a reply very quickly to her other

questions, but got no spiritual name. She did have a dream in which YB

told her that her name meant the ocean. She has never received a

spiritual name and since it was requested twice we had to conclude she

wasn't meant to have one.

I use my spirtual name here., but not anywhere else because I feel my

given name has great meaning for me. I feel my spritual name contains an

important message for me, which hit me the moment I understood the

meaning of the name, and it serves as a reminder when I'm liable to

forget that message. How, ever my given name is the one I resonate

with. So it just depends on the path one is following, doesn't it ?

Love and blessings,

Avtar

Dear Leo....

Are you able to share with us, the clarity, you gained about yourself...from

your last experience? Do you now have a sense of what your highest

manifestation would be?

What a world we would live in, if we began with some understanding of "who" we

are and what our potential is!!

All Light,

Sat Nam Leo & Avtar,

I cannot imagine, that YB would not grant a spiritual name for somebody

requesting it. I simply believe, that the request got lost and that you

should perhaps call. Mine was granted also pretty fast, also later on the

ones for my wife and the kids.

As you already mentioned: The spiritual name contains a message, the

description of your true nature - and I am particularly proud of mine.

Nevertheless in 'normal' daily life I am using my given name as this is the

one the people around me are used. The spiritual name is just being used in

the spiritual world.....

Blessings and love from Shanghai,

Adarsh S.

Dear Adarsh,

I don't believe for a mintute Yogi Bhajan would refuse to grant a

spiritual name, and I agree the requests somewhow got lost. But why ?

Things like that happen for a reason. In fact I had an email

corrospondance with 3ho about the request for my friend's name that I

submitted, and when that went nowhere she wrote herself and asked. She

did get a reply to her her questions, but no name ! When one gets a blank

wall like that, and one is following a spritual path the time comes when

one needs to accept what has become obvious. For whatever reason, she

wasn't meant to have one, at least not at that time.

Blessings,

Avtar
