Guest guest
yes, i have the same question. For the sat nam kiriya. Is sat is exhaled and nam is pronounced on the inhale. -Chris Constantine Khripin <khripin wrote:Hi, My name is Cos and I've been doing the basic meditations and Nabhi Krya for a couple weeks now. Could someone tell me how to properly breathe during the Sat Krya and the Kirtin Krya? When do I inhale? Do I inhale through the nose? Mouth? Fast? Slow? Maybe this becomes apparent on it's own after I do the meditation for a while? Guest guest
I have been doing Sat Kriya every day for almost two and one-half years now. When I asked the same question on the listserve that you are now asking, the answer I received was that Yogi Bhajan has not prescribed a specific breath rhythm, instead encouraging the practitioner to go with what naturally occurs. I have followed that advice and found that it works very well. The breath will find its own way. I do not believe that a rigid pattern for the breath when doing Sat Kriya would be helpful. Guest guest
Sat Naam! I don't think it is even possible to inhale and speak at the same time, is it? I just tried it and let out some loud obnoxious sound like a hiccup which echoed through my cube farm! ha ha! Once you create a rhythm with Sat Kriya the breath will become naturally regulated. You can start by consciously taking in a little sip of air into the nose between "Sat" and "Naam" and see if that works for you -- but try to let go of manipulating the breath once you get into the meditation. Merge with the practice and let it happen as it will. om, ~ ranjit >chris charles <ccharles79 >Kundaliniyoga >Kundaliniyoga >Kundalini Yoga Sat Nam krya technique question >Fri, 5 Sep 2003 09:47:11 -0700 (PDT) > > >yes, i have the same question.
