Guest guest
Dear all, I have a friend who is suffering from a diagnosed problem called "Obstructive Sleep Apnoa" or "Apnea" - not sure which. Basically, the problem is that when they sleep and relax, the tissue in their throat fills the throat up and stops them breathing, which in turn wakes them up once they stop getting enough oxygen. This seems to have quite a big effect on their general awareness at times. They've been advised by their GP that weight loss would help, and have been on a fairly intensive exercise and fitness program, but the problem seems to be getting worse rather than better. Has anyone come across this problem, and is there anything you'd advise? Thanks, - Jamie
