Guest guest
Guru Fateh!, Hi Marily, Where and when did you have an opportunity to hear it? I did the recording, per Snatam Kaur's request, at last Winter Solstice's Ransabhai and then made the loop for her and a couple of other ladies. They wanted it for a meditation the were doing. I don't know what Snatam has in mind for the recording. I'll write her. Guest guest
Sat Nam Dharam! Wow! Did you really record that? It is the most excellent, powerful, crystal clear spiritual chanting of a mantra that I have ever heard in my whole life! I feel that it really connects me to the other dimension, it justifies my soul and where I come from. I first heard it in France this summer in the Yoga Festival (AMAZING EXPERIENCE!) during a workshop for the bound lotus kriya and the girl who was teaching it, used it for the meditation. I was really inspired bu her case, I'm sure you all know her, I just can't remember her name right now (embarassing!) she has written an article in the Aquarian Times magazine about how she was healed from an almost paralysis case by doing the bound lotus kriya the most "sacred of all kriyas" and so I decided to start doing it for a 40 day sadhana (at least). I really love this kriya (I'm in day 5 now) and part of the pleasure while doing it, is listening to this mantra which really stays with me afterwards for the whole day. That's why I wish to know exactly what it says...so I that I can really chant it, instead of just mumbling unknown syllables all day long ! So, is it part of Japji? Do you know where I can find it written and whole? Since I returned from the yoga festival in France I've been wanting to write to this list about it and what a fantastic experience it was. One that touched my heart and changed my life forever...it's just too hard to put in words...so I guess all I can say to everyone is : next year BE THERE! It's 100% worth it! It is a wonderful wonderful time spent among like minded people in a beautiful place full of loving uplifting energy! Guest guest
Oh! Forgot to say that I bought the cd in the festival. It is only the chanting of the mantra for 31 minutes...no cd covers no nothing...just very plain and simple. sat atma
Guest guest
Sat Nam Seva Simran, If you have the 'Environment' issue of Aquarian Times magazine the Bound Lotus Kriya is explained in detail in Maha Kirn's article with the whole story. If you don't this is how it goes : You sit in full lotus pose, you cross your arms behind your back and grab your toes Then you go down untill your forehead touches the ground and you stay there for 31 minutes! Now : *If you can't stay in full lotus you can do it in half lotus for the same amount of time on each leg. (Personally I do 5-7 minutes for each leg in half lotus and then 5-7 minutes in full lotus for a total of 15-21 min) *If you can't reach your toes you can use ropes or socks. *Maha Kirn also recommends to use pillows in the beginning, so you don't hurt your back, which is probably not used to this position. *Do a good warm up before the kriya and make sure you relax for 3-5 minutes afterwards. I do warmup, the basic breath series and the 4 exercises for navel adjustment before and it really helps. Also before you get up do the life nerve stretch for 1-3 minutes. But really, anyone who is interested on this kriya should contact the person who has mastered it and is now teaching it and that's Maha Kirn. I think that on the article there is a site where you can contact her, I'll check it out and let you know. Love to All Sat Atma
Guest guest
Thanks for your response and I look forward to the link. Do you have any comments about the effects? The posture is considered the advanced version of yogamudra, which in itself is one of the best things there is for the nervous system. Personally I don't know how anyone can stretch their arms that much, but anyway......doing it in full lotus makes a big difference so doing it the way you describe is excellent, I think. As for the pillows, did you mean in front so you can relax in the posture if you can't bring the forehead all the way to the ground?--- Seva Simran
Guest guest
Sat Nam Seva Simran! I have news for you and everyone who is interested in the bound lotus kriya! The site where you can reach Mahan Kirn Kaur is www.a-healing.com. The issue of Aquarian Times with the article is "The Environment Issue" volume 2, number 3, Fall 2002. So far, the only comments that I could make on the effects of the bound lotus kriya, is that, it brings me a deep calmness and sense of control as if it changes me from the inside somehow. I know this is not very specific but it's hard to describe it yet. My problem, that I am trying to heal, is in my stomach, my navel chakra and it is very interesting that since I started doing the kriya I have a strange feeling of nausea everyday and the area around that chakra feels awkward. So something is happening there. The pillows, yes, you can put in front, so that the forehead rests on top, because even if you do touch the ground, still it might be dangerous for the back to stay there for so long, if it's not trained to. In order for the arms to touch the toes the feet must be placed as far back and up the hips as possible. I am still a few inches short of getting there, so I tie my big toes with little cords and I hold that for now! So, good luck to us all with the transformational healing proccess...and does anyone know the full mantra Re Man Eh Bidh Jog Kamaoh? Peace to All Sat Atma
