Guest guest
Sat Atma, What are the best Mantra CD's that you have found work good in a class as background music. I've often wanted to use something, but was concerned it might not be appropriate as Yogi Bhajan advised that it is better not to use anything other than 3HO music. Guest guest
Sat Nam Krishan Shiva, To be honest with you the music that I use during my classes is always 3ho music. I believe the reason why Yogi Bhajan is saying that, is because it is really essential during the kundalini class to work with the Naad. And you basicaly find that in the mantra cd's of 3ho. Now, the cd's that I use, depend on the kriyas. Sometimes when there's physical workout that requires stamina I use the "Power Mantras, Ra ma da sa" by spirit voyage. In more subtle kriyas I use the "Ardas Bahee" from Crimson Collection vol 6&7. Also the rythmic "Ivory Coast" track from Gurunam's Heaven's Touch and all of his cd's work well enough! And lately I keep using the "Shanti" cd by Snatam Kaur because I fell in love with it in France in the Yoga Festival! Guest guest
Dear Krishan Shiva Kaur To avoid confusion on this issue you need to look at the deeper meaning. Yogi Bhajan was not referring to music produced by 3HO - rather he was referring to mantras he has introduced specifically to enrich and deepen the practice of Kundalini Yoga. These mantras are recorded to different melodies by a large number of artists. Nearly all of the music available from Yoga Technology - - falls into this category. Sat Nam!
