Teeth and alum

Hello all,

I have been reading "Kundalini Yoga - The Flow of Eternal Power" by Shakti

Parwha Kaur Khalsa. In the book she discusses in Chapter 15 of brushing the

tongue (and teeth) with a mixture of powdered potassium alum and salt.

Is this the same alum on supermaket shelves used for pickling? I would like to

know if this mixture improves the condition of teeth and gums and I would like

to hear of others experiences with this. Gum disease is prevalent in my family

and I would like to prevent it.

Thanks,

Shawna

Sat Nam Shawna,

Potassium Alum and Aluminum Alum are different, somehow. I don't

know the difference (Maybe there's a chemist on the list). I have always used

Potassium Alum. You can get it and

maybe more info from Harbhajan Singh and Rajinder Kaur at

<hskhalsa. Karta Purkh Singh has an interesting story of

scoring Alum in Amritsar, Punjab.

It's real important to take care of the mouth environment. Gum

disease and heart ailments are spoken of being coincident not to mention

a host of other health problems. Do a search of the Archives (

Kundaliniyoga/messages ) on gagging and

see what's been shared.

Sat Nam,

Dharam Singh
