Guest guest
A few thoughts from the Ayurvedic perspective. When our breath is not balanced, one can say that the 3 doshas: Vatta, Pitta and Kapha are having their way (not the accepted terminology). Doshas mean faults but when stabilized, processed and balanced bring about balance. Vatta when stabilized and soothed it becomes Prana. Pitta when pacified and processed fully it becomes Tejas. Kapha when energized and elevated it become Ojas. These doshas are what we are confronting when we sit down to do our Yoga. When we've had a good strong set, what we have done is bring about a transformation of these "faults" into something akin to Gold. Coal into a diamond. Call it alchemy if you like....I do. This breath that out of balance begins to balance the moment we are aware of it and can simply watch. When we align our minds with our body's movement, frequency and rhythms, everything opens up. Be aware.
