Guest guest
I know this has been mentioned here on the list before but I couldn't find it in the archives. Does any one know when it is believed the soul enters the body? Sat Nam, RaMa Kaur _______________ Surf and talk on the phone at the same time with broadband Internet access. You can calculate it with a astrological chart. Soul. Isn't that a western word. Shouldn't it be called 'consciousness'. At the moment f death a new consciousness arises from the old. But it isn't the previous consciousness. If understanding of emptiness and the true self isn't there then the new consciousness links to the old one. It is a false view of the transitory collection, or false self that causes our pain. It is what leads to the faults of birth, death, sickness, and aging. All which can be avoided. The "self" desires. It wants to experience. So it incarnates. Bill
Guest guest
RaMa Kaur, The Soul enter the body on the 120 day of pregnancy. Yogiji says that this is God's way of providing "Planned Parenthood". That the status of the woman must not be compromised for some abstract agenda. That if she is not mentally, emotionally, spiritually and financially ready, then there is no good reason to go ahead with a pregnancy. She has 120 days to decide. Additionally, up to that point, knowledge of the pregnancy is protected information. On the 120 day there is a celebration. This is the custom in a number of cultures. Sat Nam, Dharam Singh P.S. I don't remember this being discussed before. Amanda Hamm wrote: > I know this has been mentioned here on the list before but I couldn't > find > it in the archives. Guest guest
Sat Nam, On the 120th day of a woman's pregnancy, that is the day on which the soul enters the womb. Sahaj --- "Amanda Hamm" <MandyPan97 wrote:
Guest guest
Sat Nam Rama Kaur, There are several views on this, depending on the spiritual path. According to Buddhism, the dharma I follow, the 'consciousness' establishes itself in a fertilized egg. In other words, the new life begins at the time of conception. Guest guest
Hi RaMa Kaur, "What is the secret to keeping up? You must let the psyche move through the meridians. Whether you are tired or not, you have energy or you do not, you are sick or healthy - these things are like the rain and the clouds, hot weather and cold, winter, fall - a part of life. But if you let your own energy flow through you, you will be all right." You certainly wont have any desire to put a glaze on your Third Eye with any psychotropic substances. Thanks also for the side note about the clairvoyant. This is a great example of how the Rishis can come up with a 120th day figure. This also jibes with some info regarding how we deal with death. As Sikhs we chant Akal when a person dies to help the Soul along on it's journey but we don't chant Akal when an insect is killed. Yogiji has said that since the Soul is not attached to the body at the level of insect existence, a "Sat Nam" is sufficient. Very interesting. Guest guest
Thanks for the words of encouragement Dharam. I had to think about this for a little bit. > "What is the secret to keeping up? So what you're saying is to just go with the flow and don't get stuck. Be aware of the rocks in the stream but don't cling to them. Have the feeling but don't dwell on them. Is that right? SatNam! Guest guest
Hey RaMa, Kaur The quote is from Yogi Bhajan, I was sharing it with you. I will resonate with you in a place that you can hear it. For me, I know I get myself into trouble when I am not in my flow....when I can't feel "the Love" (with a capital L)....when I have no containment, contentment and continuity. If I begin a course action from a limited place, perhaps angry, fearful or frustrated place, chances are I will incur some Karma and create more congestion (Ama) that I will have to clear up at some later date. It is much better to begin an activity/your day from a potent, neutral space. Fully aware and open to one's vastness. Bad trips/mornings usually don't just get better by themselves. Yoga is about getting over our Inertia. Guest guest
Thanks Dharam and Stacy for your words of support and being there with me. I have really been feeling pretty strong lately. I have been afraid to say so cause everytime I acknowledge how well I think I'm doing at something I screw up. I don't think I'm going back this time though, I just haven't even enjoyed the last few times I've got stoned at all, it completely zapped my motivation and made me feel like a wet sack of flour for days. It also made my brain feel like it was going to short circuit, scary sensation. I think its been close to a month since I've done any and things are going really well, my motivation is building daily. The real test will be if I'm offered any when I'm feeling that desire, I have been able to talk myself out of seeking any. I feel strongly that I will be able to just say no though. Thanks again and know that I'm there for you when you need it:) Sat Nam, RaMa Kuar
