Guest guest
Dear Krishan Shiva....can you tell me, with the sa re ga ma etc. is Gurunam chanting it or singing it? Does he go continually up the scale in his sound, as we've had discussions about here before, for this mantra?...or does he go up the major scale, back down and half way up again...I came across that med in his book and that is how he suggested to do it....but that is contrary to what had been discussed here before...so I am just curious. Thanks, Sat Sangeet Post your free ad now! Canada Personals
Guest guest
He's singing it. He sings it going down in 3 notes, then back up one note for the last syllable I don't know if these are the exact notes he uses, but here's an e.g., Note 'E' - sa re ga ma pa da ni Note 'D' - sa ta na ma ra ma da sa sa say Note 'C' - so Note 'D' - hung ... sliding back up from the c to the d It's a great song though, it really lifts the spirits. Guest guest
Sat Nam Krishan Shiva, There is a very nice meditation that you can do with the mantra Wahe Guru Wahe Jio, it is called 'meditation for the arcline and to clear the karmas'. It is in a number of books : Guru Dharam's 'Kundalini the Essence of Yogas', in Sadhana Guidelines and I think in Gurunam's Lifting the Veil. It goes like this : *Sit in easy pose eyes closed. Drop your elbows, holding forearms out, parallel to the ground, palms flat. Then cup your palms slightly and hold them above your knees. *Move your arms behind your head, stretching then as far over your shoulders as possible. Visualize scooping up water and casting it through your arc line over your shoulders, by flicking your wrists. The action is seamless and rythmic. Carry on at 4 scoops to 10 seconds chanting "Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru, Wahe Gio" for 3-31 minutes. Do one complete round per repetition of the mantra, scooping up, throwing and coming back to the starting point. *To complete, breathe in and stretch your hands as far as possible. Hold 10-15 seconds. Breath out. Repeat 3 times total. Relax. *Yogi Bhajan comments : This meditation is for the Arc Line and to clear karma stored there. Wahe Guru is just a hand of prayer. Remember, the power of infinity is not outside, it is inside. When 'I' and Infinity create impact, you'll become totally Divine. Otherwise there's a duality that keeps you away from reality. Enjoy!
