Guest guest
Sat Nam, If a person is say, blocked in the 3rd Chakra, does that mean he would be blocked in the 4th on up Chakras? I guess what I am asking is do you have to unblock each Chakra in order? That doesn't seem right, I know I have felt blocked in lower chakras, but felt fine in my Heart Chakra, etc. Can someone explain how this energy flow works? Thanks Linda The New with improved product search
Guest guest
Dear Linda, If a person is say, blocked in the 3rd Chakra, does that mean he would be blocked in the 4th on up Chakras? * No. I guess what I am asking is do you have to unblock each Chakra in order? *No. That doesn't seem right, I know I have felt blocked in lower chakras, but felt fine in my Heart Chakra, etc. *The chakras are all connected and work together. We speak of them separately to clarify for ourselves their different attributes and energies. Some can be blocked while others can be very open and flowing in their functioning. It is an individual thing. Depends on where we are at. Also they function at different levels of capacity. It is not as simple as open and closed. And sometimes open is not an optimal state. Open can operate as exposed in which case we may be vulnerable. Contained in our own strength would be a better place of operation. Chakras are also symbols for our consciousness. We unfold our consciousness gradually. What seems like progress one day will seem to be very elementary as we move forward in our spiritual journey. A strong navel chakra can greatly facilitate the opening of the heart. As we strengthen our navel chakra, we acquire energy that can feed the heart. You can practice this by doing a navel exercise or set and then feeling that energy expand up the spine to the heart. We actually do this when we pull rootlock at the end of the exercises. Pulling in the navel and slightly tightening the muscles at the base of the spine creates a pressure that allows the energy to move up the spine to the heart. Yogi Bhajan taught us from the very beginning that we can't keep our heart open without a strong physical base, strong navel center and lower triangle (lower three chakras.) I was so fascinated by this concept that it is the basis of my first KY book Transitions to a Heart Centered World. That is why you find the lower chakra/navel sets and the heart sets together in one book. The navel chakra needs to be worked on everyday. I used to say that if there was only one answer to questions about what to do to solve a situation using KY, the answer would be the navel center. This is the center of our personal power. We should feel a strong pulse right at the navel or slightly below. When we don't, its time for more breath of fire, leg lifts or stretch pose. Can someone explain how this energy flow works? * One simple answer is up and down. But There are so many interactive dynamics. To really have the experience of the varied dynamics in your own body is what is important. There are plenty of sets and meditations to cultivate these experiences.
