It is mentioned that souls get to choose their parents, How does it corelate with the destiny that we have to face here? how can this hold true when it is said that we will have a predestined fate? I would think that it will be directed by higher force/God as to who takes what birth and where... Children-parents relationships are karmic and of course there is always the factor of free will, that may change our original 'plan'. For example, the person that we chose to be our mother may not evolve as ideally as she could in order to help us face our highest destiny but this I believe is the reason why Yogi Bhajan says that although we have one destiny there is a scale of 7 from our highest to our lowest destiny. It is always the factor of Free Will that is so crucial in our evolution. And yes God decides but then again isn't God our Higher Self? Guest guest Posted November 4, 2003 Report Share Posted November 4, 2003 Hye, I love your intervention but what surely is also that a child comes with the intention to help make the world a better place only the belief system of the world tries to change his values and limits his contribution under the false conception to grow up. If this child starts to remember what was the purpose of his coming back then he can try to do something different and be happy whatever are the circumstances a "perfect" or " non-perfect" mother for whatever a mother becomes she is afterall a human and also driven by the illusions of life and an aware child can help a lot a tired mumy if only she wants to listen to his beautiful and sincere voice. Yes our free will is the motor of our lives not my mother not my fother. They only can help when we want to accept their help but as you see many children refuse the ready made solutions parents give them. THey want to experience it all. Kundalini yoga is called the yoga of awareness because this is what it helps you develop through a yogic technique. I absolutely agree with you that awareness could make all the difference in this world. As to mothers and fathers helping children face their destiny...well I meant it in a subtler way, not so much concerning their intention to help, but more concerning who they really are and connecting that to all children being the evolution of their parents' union ...like ..each new generation taking the species one step further. Free will is our greatest gift and test together. But Love Is Freedom and together they are Truth and all that comes straight from the Heart.
