Guest guest
Sat Nam, Aries is Mars sign - the fire - going to Aquarius - the water sign means to go to clarity of mind - to see through the absoluter reality. Guest guest
Hi Folks, I'm no astrologer, but this effect is due to what is known as the precession of the equinoxes. The position of the Sun is slowly moving backwards through the various signs of the Zodiac. Thousands of years ago, when the principles of astrology were first being defined, it was in Aries at the time of the vernal equinox. Then it moved into Pisces. Currently it is leaving Pisces and moving into Aquarius. Over a longer period of time it will complete the full circuit and be back in Aries. I hope this has answered your question. Sat Nam! Guest guest
Sat Nam, > I want to know why we are moving towards the age of Aquarius and not Aries, as Aries is the sign that follows Pisces in the Zodiac. Because this works backwards. We have already been through the age of Aries. Sat Atma
Guest guest
Our solar system moves through the zodiac in retrograde fashion. According to Johannes Kepler (I believe), the great astronomer, we moved into Aquarius in 1997 when Uranus entered Aquarius.Other astronomers set different dates for entry into Aquarius, depending on different planetary/stellar criteria. My personal belief is that we did enter Aquarius in 1997, but are in the midst of the cusp /transition between Pisces and Aquarius, hence the tumultuous world situation. Blessings! Guest guest
Hello. My name is Maura and I'm new to this list. I've been practicing KY on and off for a few years now, and I'm looking forward to learning from this group. In response to the question about the age of Aquarius, I posed the question to my brother, who is an astrologer and I've copied his answer below. I hope this helps answer your question. Sat Nam, Maura One explanation for the 'age' thing follows. This isn't the only explanation. The 'ages' have to do with something called precession. When the 'rules' of astrology were made, constellations were in the sky at certain times of year. We mark some very important times of the year in wester astrology: The Winter Solstice, The vernal equinox, summer solstice, and the autumnal equinox. In case you don't know what they are they are as follows: Solstice points are the ones where days stop increasing or decreasing in length and start the other way. ie. the winter solstice is the shortest day of the year, and the summer is the longest. Equinox points are the points where night and day are equal. In astrology the Winter Solstice (shortest day) defines 0 degrees Capricorn. When astrology was realy codified, this happened to actually be where capricorn the constellation was in the sky. As the years pass, the star actually move very slightly backward in the zodiac (about 0.015 degree a year). So year to year, the 0 degrees Aries point actually slipped into Pisces. In this astrology, we defined the symbols to match time of the year (Aries for the spring, Cancer for the summer, Libra for Autumn and Capricorn for the winter) so the actual constellations slip in the sky. Flash forward to now, and the constellations are nearly 30 degrees in the zodiac from where they were. So our 0 deg Aries is actually entering the 29th degree of Aquarius (the actual position in the sky). so in essence, we're entering the age of aquarius (for around 2000 years). This is only one explanation of it, and i've hear contradictory explanations. So take it with a grain of salt. But its the smartest one I've heard so far. >"Pete Walters" <pjw >Kundaliniyoga ><Kundaliniyoga> >Kundalini Yoga The age of Aquarius/Pisces/Aries? >Wed, 10 Dec 2003 19:41:21 +0200 > >Hi! >I want to know why we are moving towards the age of Aquarius and not Aries, >as Aries is the sign that follows Pisces in the Zodiac. >Sat Nam! > > > > > _______________ >From Beethoven to the Rolling Stones, your favorite music is always playing on MSN Radio Plus.
