Hi Akkama,

Sonicare (Sonicare.com) is what I use in the evening and Alum/Salt for

the morning cleansing.

Go to

http://www.erc.montana.edu/CBEssentials-SW/bf-basics-99/bbasics-01.htm

for some real hardcore research on the subject of Biofilm which cover

Plaque and Tartar. After seeing a movie at the website showing the

effectiveness of the Sonic technology I immediately got on Ebay and

scored their newest model (unopened) for better than 55% off of

Suggested Retail.

I later talked to a friend who said that after having used the Sonicare

he went to his dentist for his yearly cleaning and was told "there was

nothing to clean". Exact words.

See the movie

Sat Nam Akkama,

Regarding Alum and Salt, we've had enough discussion on this

subject to Gag a horse.......a large horse. Check the Archives doing

word searches for Alum, Salt, Gag, Gagging, Mucus. Gagging is great but

lets not repeat what has already been laid out in full color and gory

details.

Regarding Sonic care, I had/have the same concerns you had, but more

so with regard to the 84 meridians that are in the mouth. What effect,

positive or negative, might this have? Nonetheless, the more you

understand Biofilm and how difficult it is to remove (eg. 75 minutes of

soaking in chlorine still only removed 70% in one experiment) the more

you can appreciate this ultrasonic method. Fifteen seconds of Sonicare

brushing removed 99.9% of the film and bacteria in one experiment. Check

out that site by the University of Montana and Bill Costerton...he IS

the man in Biofilm Engineering. BTW, cleaning is my business and in reviewing

my methods I ran upon this info on toothcare absolutely by chance.

There are several very good "micro" movies at this page

P.S. One must also weigh in the known connection between tooth/gum

health with immunity issues and heart health vs an unknown effect, if any.
