Guest guest Posted November 13, 2003 Report Share Posted November 13, 2003 37 years ago I experienced a spontaneous kundalini experience. At that time I did not know what kundalini or yoga was. I clearly recall how the energy rushed up from the base of my spine and began spinning around my spine in two distinct channels with a spiraling sensation and lasted probably less than a second. When that energy met at the top of my spine at the knot in back of my neck I heard a LOUD CRACK, like a lightning bolt, and felt my shoulder blades open up like wings. I remember "waking up" by hearing sounds, then realizing that those sounds were separate from me, I realized "me" and I then felt a brief pain in the pit of my stomach and noticed that I had moved from where I was when I heard the loud crack. The experience was then one of space and time distortions as I came back into my body. The next experience is the most profound and hardest to explain. I began to be overcome with an overwhelming sensation of pure bliss, so strong and so powerful and so delightful that I began to dissolve into it. I embraced it and at the same time realized that this was more than "I" would be able to experience and let it too pass. Since then I have always wondered about this experience, especially the blissful recognition of my existence. Was this a swoon or a rapture. Can you tell me anymore about it?
