Guest guest
Hi I'm a newcomer to KY, and love it. :-) I'd like to try a water-only fast, both to lose some weight and to increase my energy. I've been eating less lately, which is great, and I attribute it directly to KY. Before KY I was pretty much numb to parts of my body. Now I'm aware of my solar plexus, and my heart area, and I'm much more able to control food cravings. Can anyone recommend a kriya for my fasting days? Many thanks. Guest guest
Sat Nam, Ji, I'm not saying don't do a water-only fast, but such fasts can possibly be dangerous because they may release a lot of your body's toxins very quickly and send them to your liver and other organs. Especially for a beginner, I would say that a yogi tea fast would usually be much more advisable. Humbly yours, S.S. Guest guest
P.S. Although I am sure there are certain kriyas and meditations that help with fasting, just about anything that works on the navel point (especially breath of fire, stretch pose, and sat kriya) will help you immensely with your will power. Breath of fire is especially helpful with keeping our food desires under control. Another helpful posture for that same purpose is camel pose.
