Guest guest
Sat Nam Chela Shanti and Krishan Shiva Kaur, I am an Ayurvedic Practitioner, if you would like to ask specific questions I would be happy to offer any help I may. Just a couple of thoughts, be kind to yourself! Remember no matter what type of yoga you practice, Ahimsa (Yoga Sutra 2.29 the very first of the 8 components of yoga!) is of the utmost importance! Give yourself permission... try not to analyze the process! We can sometimes analyze the grace right out of experiences we are having. When you are processing so much it is so important to have a teacher. I would hesitate to take on strict practices without one! Chanting and Mantra in Ayurveda is a wonderful way to heal the mind. There are specific mantra's for specific illness or disease of the mind. Pranayama is of vital importance to calm, restore, and slow down the mind. Pranayama means creating a balance of energies through which our vitality is extended and our breath is deepened. The use of prana for healing is an important aspect of Ayurveda. As we tune in to subleties in the body, mind, and breath in Yoga we get "messages" or old scenes are replayed to be brought into the light and healed. We also need to listen to the message that maybe this is too much for right now and slow down or let your practice be one of sitting and listening or chanting, being with the stillness between the breath or between the kriyas. This is not a race, we are on a journey! Try to let go of the idea that we are going somewhere! Find a teacher if you don't have one! All blessings and love, light, and gentleness, Rebecca
