Guest guest
Dear Dharam, The old Testament Gospels as they are, already say much more than the Gospel of Thomas. If anyone has studied Vedanta or Buddhism, the words of Christ sound familiar, staying the same themes one would read in the Avadhut Gita, Ribhu Gita, Ashtavakara Gita, Upanishads and others, such as the Diamond sutra and Heart sutra, only much more emphatic regarding the non-dual nature of the Self. Core themes of the Japji, also found in Vedanta, and Buddhism are also given by Christ both in words and his life, but in a very clear and emphatic manner, giving on out or alternative, but hearing, remembering and abiding. In Tibet, this manner of teaching is the way of the Vajra Siddhi Guru, or the Path of Sudden Enlightenment. The Gospel of Thomas reads more like a channeling of a Theosophist rather than the soul gripping life portrayed by the Gospels in The Gospel of Thomas found in 1945.
