disciplined, rigorous and meditative practice. You

adopt it at the behest of your spiritual teacher who

gives it to you so you may exonerate yourself of the

earthly karmas you arrived in this world burdened

with.

In Kundalini Yoga, we arise before the sun to pray (in

our case Jap-ji by Guru Nanak), make efforts

(kundalini Yoga warm ups and kriyas) and we meditate

and chant God's Name. All of this adds up to about 2

and a half hours, one tenth of our day, devoted to our

personal spiritual upliftment and in turn the

upliftment of all those we meet.

That is the bare bones of it. Of course it involves

much much more on so many levels that to explain would

take lifetimes and volumes.

Hello everybudy

Sat Nam,

Helo everyone,

Can anyone please help me out uf this queries!!

1. Can i practise KY on my own?

2. Or shud sumebudy guide me do it?

3. In case i can do it on my own , how do i do it

practically?

4. Whut r da advantages of KY in brief and itz

benefits?

5. Whut r da preferred timing thut i can perform KY?

6. Is there any specific diet thut i have to follow ?

7. Any other restrictionz?

Sat nam,

Girish

1. Of course you can. Do you have a yoga manual

published or approved by KRI (Kundalini Research

Institute) This is the best way.

2 It would be best if you had a teacher to guide you

on a personal level but this is not required only it

is easier than trying to learn from a book. It is best

to take a few classes at least before venturing off to

practice on your own.

3 Do it every day. Try to practice at least an hour.

Best time is early morning before the sun rises. But

that is not a requirement, just the best time. Another

good time is as the sun sets. This allows our psyches

to adjust for the change in energy from light to dark

(as in the morning from dark to light)

4 Kundalini yoga is not only powerful and effective,

it is also fun. It will change your life if you

practice it regularly and correctly.

6 A vegetarian diet is best but not required. Actually

though as you meditate and reach more el;evated levels

of consciousness and awareness the need for such

things as meat, and alcohol and caffeine and sugar

will begin to drop away. You will find yourself

indulging in them less and less.

7. There are no restrictions. Chant Ong Namo Guru Dev

Namo before you start and bless the world and those

around you when you end and you will become great!
