Guest guest
Hi! I have a meditation I took from a book called "Meditation as Medicine", and it involves saying the mantra Sa Ta Na Ma. Now I was wondering how we are supposed to say it. Are we supposed to say Sa when we inhale, Ta when we exhale, etc. Or are we supposed to say it all in one breath? The meditation I am talking about is the "L form" meditation. Thanks! Sat Nam! Pier Ottawa (Ontario) Canada P.S. And are we supposed to say it the same way for all the other meditations involving the Sa Ta Na Ma mantra? Thanks again!
Guest guest
Thanks very much a bout the said meditation, the answer is simple and here it is : if you want to chant this mantra there is no need for you chant it one by one,for it to be very effective what you have to do is to breath deeply and then chant this mantra and you will see how great it works with this experience. sat nam, Sri Upendra --- Pier-Olivier Arsenault <MA__Rule wrote: > Hi! > > I have a meditation I took from a book called > "Meditation as > Medicine", and it involves saying the mantra Sa Ta > Na Ma. Guest guest
Sat Nam Pier, Are you doing the Kirtan Kriya meditation? The sa ta na ma mantra in the 'L form' means that : you can visualize the sound current of each syllable of the mantra entering vertically from the top of your head -the crown- and coming out horizontally from your third eye point -between your eyebrows-. This forms an L shape that helps you concentrate and avoid dizziness. Are you chanting the mantra loud or silently projecting it? It's in one breath.
