Guest guest Posted January 3, 2004 Report Share Posted January 3, 2004 Sat Nam, I was following this chain over the last few days, thinking I had nothing to add...then I had this experience yesterday...so I thought maybe I would share it. I was seeing a client, for massage, and they were telling me about a family member and a difficulty they were having. The approach she was taking, in my opinion was an unskillful one, although from her perspective, it was the best she knew how to do in that moment. So I began to suggest a few things. These suggestions were met with a lot of defensiveness and closed ears...so I dropped them. But realized I couldn't stand in the face of this and not "act" in some way....so I practiced a technique my teacher had taught us last session, using the power of prayer and SNR...where you envoke a state of "perfect" (as best to your ability) consciousness, then you have the intention to "share" it with another individual...so that they too can reap the benefit of perfect consciousness. So as I massaged, I praticed this.....and about 10 minutes later, the client began the conversation again and she had made a complete shift and now was very open to any information I had to share on the topic that may be of assistance in her situation. I noticed this shift the moment she began to speak and I found myself thinking....this is magic. A prayer is spoken and answered. So in response to developing powers...I would say there is nothing more empowering then becoming a co-creator in your own reality. And we do this everytime we have a thought. We create our reality...it's just that for the most part we are not conscious of this process, we do it unconsciously. So in the process of becoming conscious and understanding how reality works...we develope many powers. What can be more powerful, than sharing in creation? The magic in my life is subtle, the average person, wouldn't even notice it...yet my life is forever chnaged by these simple sacred, magic moments...where I understand more deeply, how this whole big thing we call "life" goes down. And THAT'S the real magic!! Ha ha! To go from dark to light! Confusion to understanding. I am forever blessed to have been the student of my teacher...over the last 5 years he has taught me how to be an empowered human being...if that isn't alchemy...if that isn't magic...then I don't know what is!
