Guest guest Posted February 3, 2004 Report Share Posted February 3, 2004 More ? for this set.(Stress set for Kidneys and Adrenals-Relax and Renew)1) Do i interlock the pinkies and pull at the solarplexus for the pukered lipped breath of fire also?, or do i just sit in easy pose and do pukeded lip breath of fire?, as the second part of exercise 2? 2) You 2mins for each exercise because the kidneys can get overworked or stressed from the set. Is it appropriate to do this set everyday, if i want to strengthen my adrenals or should i take breaks? 3) For the lower triangle meditation to repair stress damage to kidneys and adrenals, the left arm is 60 from the horizontal with thumb placed underneath the pinkie (Does this mean out to the side like a bird flapping its wings, or 60 degree out in front like a nazi salute? and is the palm facing the ground twisting to the left or does it face forwards? For those interested the right arm hugs the ear with arm extended straight up thumb touching directly underneath the pinkie, with straight back holding perfectly still and long breath. Be sure to rest the same amount of time spent in the position. 11mins suggested time. If any of you guys have the answers, i sure would appreciate, and i would like to thank those cibergurus out there in advance for taking the time to answer my questions. Is it appropriate to do this set everyday, if i want to strengthen my adrenals or should i take breaks? There is no right answer to this question. Partly it is based on how you feel. Given your specific situation, I think I would consider doing this set 3-4 times a week and alternate with other sets. The general result you are after is to reduce stress. For this strengthening the nervous system is critical. The set for Nerve Balance on page 46 in Relax and Renew would be a good one to add to your weekly reportoire. Also the Relaxation Series on page 38 and REmoving Tension on page 39. These sets each work on a different things so the combination could support the changes you are looking for. I would also include alternate nostril breathing for 5-11 minutes every day, perhpas before dinner and left nostril breathing before going to bed. Not too far, but not straight forward. Maybe a couple of inches off from center so there is no pressure on the arm on the chest. and is the palm facing the ground twisting to the left or does it face forwards? * Facing forwards.
