Dear Brenda,

Crying can involve a huge expenditure of energy. You don't want to just cry

without the meditation. It only makes you tired. The yoga will naturally

bring you to that place of neutrality. The process of meditating or the

vibration of chanting should bring you to a place of neutrality where you

can watch the emotional fireworks. Neutrality means that you are not

judging, you may not even remember what happened. It's not significant what

exactly came out. You could cry or not. It does not matter. But you were

fully present in the movement allowing the moment to express itself.

Allowing is a neutral activity. By practicing this neutrality, in daily

life you will also find that place.

Blessings,

Gian

I had been doing KY for years when I moved into an ashram. I

envisioned feeling great peace and serenity. Instead during meditation

I sobbed, loudly, so loudly I sometimes left in order not to be a

disturbance. Veteran students in the ashram told me I was cleansing,

that thoughts and feeling were rising from my subconscious. Eventually

it stopped. Perhaps this is what is going on for you.
