There is the appearance of many souls, but in Reality, as Baba am Dass used to

say, "There is only One of us." While Christ meantioned that John the Baptist

was Elisia come again, His central Teaching was that there is only One Truth,

and that, when we abide in Awareness, we realize that our inner self (the son)

is the same as the Infinite (the Father). In Vedanta there is the presentation

of Atman, as the individual unit of Consciousness and Brahman, as the Infinite

Being, the Truth being that these 2 are one - Tatvamasi. In Buddhism this is

also called non-dualism, not-2.

As the mind becomes pure and steady, the apparent outward flow of attention

towards objects diminishes and vanishes, leaving over only the seer, That which

Lights the body and the world in all its dimentions. Abiding as the seer, the

subject "I," the notional "i" which identifies, clings to and is the source of

all groundless fears, is drawn in and swallowed by the True single and all

pervasive "I" emerging through the fog of the mind, from the Heart like a sun,

irradiant in and through, prior, behind and beyond all appearances, and we abide

singly as That I am, as in the specific Knowledge (Gyan) - "I am That I AM," in

which everything in includes without distinction or separation. In the

discussion of the many souls, the first enquiry should be into the source of

one's own Light of Awareness, which is the True Soul.

In the practice of a Kundalini Yoga Sadhana, the sense of the discrimnitive mind

emerges into consciousness, and with the slightest impulse from the Word of a

Saint or Savior, the True Self hears Its Name and Awakens, relinquishing all

that is false, not-Self, abiding in the reverberation of soundless sound and

illumination, like the increasing of the voltage in a lamp providing the light

that projects through the film of a movie projector, but as the scene fades to

white we are drawn inwards pervasively.
